  1. Great, quite a detailed set and the decals are an interesting touch. Thanks for putting this up and going through an approach. I'm working on some 1/72 WWII Germans, in my acrylic learning phase, and will try to get some pictures up soon.
  2. Looks pretty cool mate, what I would describe as a fun model. It reminds me of some snap n lock type models maybe from days before. I assume this one required glue though, while providing showroom ready bodywork!
  3. Well it definitely looks good and soon to be a classic one of a kind. I have added it to my wish list. stuck_out_tongue
  4. Dangit - pretty sure they started right side up. I've had a fun day, learned on acrylics, this is day 1, so very green. I used a wet palette, dry one, and ran a wash over the flesh colours as well as many layers. I'm still waiting for the other half of my paints to arrive! One picture is not like the others ;)
  5. Nice plane. I was interested when I noticed the Concorde browsing through the available inventory. It's a fascinating and enigmatic aircraft, which I rather miss having in the skies and as a different or premium service option. Not that I could ever afford to fly on it - probably spent too much on models. This is looking good, but what do you think then Ratch, is it going to be a kit to recommend, looking from the inside out?
  6. I'm starting out on some new figures, with new paint, my first foray into acrylics. I've picked an example of all the figures and a bomb and trolley, firstly priming them with Valejo black polyurethane primer. I doubt this will be a blow by blow, but I will try and give some updates and thoughts as I progress.
  7. I like these too. Checked out some of your good work in that area. I've got a couple of sets of French Guards and Artillery in the kitbag. Waiting for my acrylics to arrive!
  8. Posted a bit of an update when the picture show up. Tamiya and Humbrol enamels. Am experimenting with dry brushing a mix of Olive:White to lighten up the original Tamiya Matt Olive. The Tamiya Flesh is not thick enough, I will try to mix and stir even more for the next coat - perhaps just needs multi coats. I think I prefer the Humbrol Flesh paint of years past. I need to put more of a belt around them, the close ups are revealing, may dry brush that ring through the Humbrol Oak Satin cartridge bags. I'm pleased with the effect of the new helmet colour, a darker variant on the Olive by adding a drop of Royal Blue in a 3:1
  9. I haven't seen any Wallace & Grommit models before - delightful work Ratch
  10. Nice one Sailorman, I hope I can get my Mustang looking as good as yours!
  11. Excellent - look forward to seeing how you progress. I have a Corsair from another maker, in progress! Wow, just looked closer - 9 models!! Haven't seen this - must have been a 2005 release.
