  1. Is it just me or have there been no new sprue talks etc this year. My site seems to have nothing since December '22
  2. I tend to agree with you but would go further and say that perhaps it would be better to make the bundles in a single scale and a single genre. Many modelling fans stick to single scale in order to be able to appreciate the size difference between examples. I find it interesting, for instance, that a single seat RAF tornado from the gulf war is , physically, almost the same size as a WW2 c47 troop transport.
  3. Like many others storage and organising the paraphernalia of model building became, almost, a hobby in itself. I probably spend almost as much time "sorting out" my gear as I do building and painting. To be honest I quite enjoy making my own storage utilising things like biscuit tins (being a Scot I find the shortbread tins from a certain well established grocer to be ideal) along with some strong corrugated cardboard and a hot glue gun to be ideal. They also stack nicely and allow a bit of space saving.
  4. Now 16th January and still waiting. E-mailed marketing and no response to that either. Two models I ordered from the "outlet" sale arrived within two days!
  5. Hi, I have to agree with much of what is said. It annoys me frequently to find that a well known website supplier can often supp airfix products at a similar price to my club discount but only require me to spend £20 to obtain free delivery. I agree that hobby rewards will go some way to reducing club prices. I hope that if "flying hours" are to be supplanted that airfix will convert existing hours at a favourable rate. Thereby recognising the loyalty of long term customers and members.
  6. Guessing I'm not the only one still waiting. 8th of January and still waiting. Mind you this isn't the only thing I am still waiting for.....Not sure if it's all down to striking snail mail staff.
  7. I'm sure you are both correct in your assumptions. As I am an "Alex" perhaps Airfix will send me one as a gesture of goodwill to "review" for them.
  8. Just noted the offer of an airfix pint glass, with a specific model, and wondered if anyone knows if this will be offered with any other products. I don't build that genre or scale, and don't intend to buy an expensive model, that I have no interest in, just obtain an interesting gift item.

    1/72 Chipmunk?

Hi chaps, thanks for the information. To be honest I am hoping for a new tooling and/or the training scheme as a re-release/update. There is a little bit of loyalty to airfix and, of course nostalgia for my youth when , like many others, flew in them as an air cadet.
  10. Following the recent release of the 1/48 Chipmunk is there any likely hood of a 1/72 version. This my beloved scale and I would love to obtain one of these. (I have to stay small or she who must be obeyed will make me go and live in the shed permanently)
