  1. That's great to hear, I will definitely look into that! I'm also wondering if there is anyone who will do renumberings/resprays for when I order any future locos/or stock? Anyway, thanks very much! :)
  2. I have at least twelve of the BP-livered examples on order! I will be looking out for renumbering transfers as well, though I may have to use ones for N-gauge.
  3. Shaping up to be quite a top-model, as are the other items that are illustrated in the article! I'm hoping that it will also come with some snowploughs! :)
  4. Very sad to learn about Montana leaving, I was hoping that she would have taken on Simon's role after he had left. But good luck to her on whatever she decided to do next!
  5. I know that this is going to be quite a tall order! Locomotives: Class 31/1 - in BR Civil Engineers "Dutch" and Railfreight grey (original and revised triple-grey with sub-sector markings). Class 31/4 - BR blue, InterCity Mainline and Regional Railways Class 37s - BR Large Logo and various BR sector colours Class 47s - various BR sector colours Class 50 - Large logo blue with Laira-style black roofing. Class 60s in several other of the BR Trainload Freight sector colours (Coal, Metals and Petroleum). Multiple units: Class 101 Class 153 Class 156 All in Provincial and Regional Railways colours. Coaching stock: BR Mark One buffet (blue/grey and InterCity) BR Mark One Full Brake (blue/grey and InterCity) BR Mark 2a/b/c stock (blue/grey, Network SouthEast and Regional Railways) BR NPCC stock in Royal Mail or Res/Parcels grey/red. Wagon stock: HEA hoppers OAA open wagons SAA steel carriers PCA Cement wagons OTA log carriers TEA tankers ZCV engineering wagons Shark Brake Van (Civil-Engineers "Dutch" yellow/grey) BR 20 tonne Brake Van ("Dutch" or Railfreight)
  6. I'm tempted to purchase one of the forthcoming TT.120 Class 66s and have it repainted in BR Railfreight grey (either original or revised triple-grey with sub-sector markings), akin to what GBRF have done with some of theirs, painting them in retro-colour schemes.
  7. I don't have any other locos! However, it was one section that was awkward to wire in, so I will double-check it and switch it around. I'll see what happens with the next loco I get.
  8. Well the unfortunate thing was my 08 had both its front buffers broken off when I received it. But it what was quite bizarre when tested it - moving in the direction I set it to until it reached the points and then moving the opposite way after helping it over em, even though the controller was set one way?! I've never seen this occur on any other layout! Of course I am now sending the loco back and have requested a refund, as admittingly I don't really have much use for a Gronk on my layout - the sidings are lined out in a way for mainline locos to maneuver in and out off. Even though I was both bewildered and crestfallen by this, I am still pressing ahead with TT.120 and waiting patiently for when the Class 31s are finally released!
  9. Sad news indeed. But I do wish him all the best, no doubt that he has earned it! I hope whoever takes over continues his legacy and that new ranges such as TT.120 continue to grow.
  10. Well folks, it would appear to have been an error after all, because all the items have now officially reverted back to their original pricing! So rest assured! :)
  11. If you go back to the TT:120 section on here, the items in question have officially reverted back to their original pricings, so indeed it would appear to be an error afterall. 12. Well from what I understand, both the Scotsman and Easterner sets have been selling out (apparently six times in four months!), along with various other items, notably track pieces and buildings, so I think that's quite a good sign! SK himself has even remarked that it has doing better than anticipated! :)
  13. Used up all of my currents hobby points but I was able to discount much further when using them, for example a couple of items that would have cost me over £20 would cost little more than £4 after membership and points applied! So complaints whatsoever! :)

  15. Some more bits of track, fishplates, track power pins and station end platforms!
  16. A Class 56, to compliment the HAA/HFAs in the range.
  17. Both the OO and TT curves are indeed 3rd radius. Apparently if I wanted to make the TT as wide as the former then I would have to use a 6th radius, which is likely what I'll be doing.
  18. Here's a comparison in size. I have an 8ft x 4ft board and in these pictures I set out the TT track that I bought recently from here (I'm also waiting for those extension packs) along with some OO track, to illustrate this. There's certainly plenty of room for potential in contrast to what you can achieve with OO with this space!
  19. Because of the era my layout will be set in (early to mid-1990s), I personally would like to see the following: Classes 101, 153 and 156, preferably in BR Provincial and Regional Railways, as well as the various PTE liveries.
  20. I've received 88 points for my recent purchases! I'll keep em saved and I'll do a trolley dash myself with some items as well! Cheers, Hornby! :)
  21. I suspect one of the other reasons for making it available online only was because back in the day when Triang first launched TT a lot of retailers refused to stock it, apparently because they didn't like selling multi-gauges, which is a bit bizarre in my view because why deprive your customers of choice?! History seems to be repeating itself with some of now saying the same thing! Shooting yourself in the foot if you ask me! So I think it's fair to say that what Hornby are doing here is in fact a fail safe approach, to keep the momentum going! But also supposing if it doesn't go well then that of course would mean that only Hornby themselves would be left saddled with grands worth of unwanted stock, not the retailers. So you could argue that Hornby are doing them a favour in that respect!
  22. Merry Christmas to you all too! Let's hope this new year will be a better one too! :) P.S: I'm also looking forward to my TT.120 stuff arriving!
  23. Another few to add, since the Class 31s are to be included in the range, I would personally like to see most of those that had previously in the OO range, notably nos: 31130, 31147 "Floreat Salopia, 31233, 31275, 31439 "North Yorkshire Moors Railway" and even InterCity Mainline-livered no: 31454, which was otherwise part of the Railroad Range! Also for a 31/1 in original Railfreight Grey, a 31/4 in BR blue (albeit with orange cantrail stripes) and another Regional Railways example no: 31421 "Wigan Pier". Also for the Class 50s, preferably one in BR Large Logo with the "Laira" black roof, and don't forget to add the snowploughs too! :) And for the Class 60s, also most of what has appeared in the OO range, personal preference, being from the BR era with their early sub-sector markings (Coal, Construction, Metals or Petroleum) and original names.
  24. Well indeed this new version of the Class 50 from them does look quite impressive, I'll give em that! thumbsup However, since I've decided to make the switch from OO to TT, it will be the latter I will be getting from here! Plus it will be cheaper too, and that's before applying the membership discount! ;)
  25. I remember after the first attempt on starting on my layout after getting back into the hobby (which was an absolute botched job!), I was contemplating on whether to use another scale such as N-gauge, which I really didn't want to do and I didn't know anything about TT at this point. I have an 8ft x 4ft board (which otherwise with the current OO gauge track, I am very much compromised with what I can run), it has got me pondering on what you could potentially fit and run on it if using this scale. For instance, there is the possibility of running prototypical length MGR coal trains, as well as full length loco-hauled passenger services. Also the possibility of a fiddle-yard at the back!. Since this announcement I have become pretty much sold on the idea and have already pre-ordered several items such as the Class 08 (no: 08489), the three TTA tankers and the phase one track pack! :)
