  1. Thanks for those comments guys,.. I have looked intensely at the power issues and that's sorted. Will try the phone and the app download if there's no damage issues, Hornby was vague about the phone compatibility but never said anything about damage to the chip either !.

I would like to know if anyone has successfully used a phone of around 5 years old, or more, to control a HM7000 fitted loco ?, Hornby have not given much advice on this except some brief info on incompatible ones which include Samsung A51 & J5, but state a fix is being done for these. I have a Samsung A50 I was going to try, however Hornby say a phone over 5 years old may not run the App properly or the Bluetooth Firmware may be an issue. Is this just a case of try-out or can old stuff damage the HM7000 chip ?
  3. I have waited for some new TT120 coaches to arrive in stock, then to my dismay, found Hornby had suddenly increased the prices by nearly 15% already. I am also having a problem using the Hobby Rewards at the checkouts. There is mention in the H.R. Ts & Cs of not being able to redeem points if they are also offered with the items purchased ? ( I have contacted Hornby about all this ) most items for sale on the website offer H.R. points !. Taking the point raised by 'Moccasin', these issues do not encourage renewal of membership, and I am disappointed with the sudden price increases.
  4. I have had the same experience, even though it's new stuff with inevitable teething probs. This sort of thing should to be right from start I think. Having to modify/ re-build a thing that you have paid reasonable money for is not really on, unless you're happy doing that sort of thing.
