  1. I noticed the very same thing and it put me in mind of the comments Sam made recently. Time to think again Sam.
  2. Could someone kindly post a link to the article that described how to solve the issue with the coach wheels making a noise when running around the curves. I have been trawling through the posts and used the search function to no avail. Many thanks.
  3. Thanks Dodge I don't know why I got no results when I tried.
  4. Tried this and brings up 0 results found. Any suggestions.
  5. Artyp yes mine is the same will be sending back.
  6. My first vehicles ready for when I start on scenery hopefully I will have my loco back from Hornbysleepy but in the meantime I'll get on with the baseboard and lay the track ready.
  7. Just been in touch with Hornby Technical Dept and they have asked me to return loco. Will let you know the problem when I hear anything.
  8. Not been in touch with them yet but will get in touch with them and see what they say.
  9. My Easterner set arrived earlier and on setting up and running in there is a loud clicking when running in reverse. Has anyone got any suggestions as I have looked underneath and nothing is obvious. I have a video of the sound but I don't think you can post videos on here.
  10. "I expected the reply about the whistle and cab, there's not a lot they can do about them and for most people they can either sort them themselves or live with them, or return them." I find this response quite alarming as I have an Easterner set on pre order which I am now considering cancelling. It seems to me the policy is to get the product out there, get the money in the bank and let people sort it themselves. Simon I am a 70 year old who is new to model railways with no prior knowledge am I expected to adjust / repair a product that should be working out of the box and look correct ?
  11. "is there room for another gauge?" Yes it's the reason for my purchase of a 120 set due to lack of space to accommodate an OO layout. As for Charlies review, it was obviously done in anger at Hornby for daring to produce something other than OO gauge ( did you not notice the edits in the review ). I agree with you on the track calculations and the small piece of tape but both easily remedied and if I can do them as a new 70 year old to the hobby then I'm sure anyone can.
