The Bedford MW from the RAF vehicles set, converted into an RVT115 Radio truck

This is the Type E Mk1 Body

I extended the chassis, and construct the cabin body out of plasticard and microstrip.

Finished in the mid-war scheme of SCC2 'Brown' and SCC1A 'Dark Brown', (using Mike Starmers guides) and marked to represent a vehicle from 2782Y Mobile Signals Unit, 84 group, 2TAF Normandy, 1944.

That is awesome :) love the Weathering/dirt work . i have almost finished the tilly from that set. i put the engine from the Bedford in it and put the bonnet up on it....... and i wanna paint a mechanic to work on it ..... i must learn how to do weathering because your model makes mine look too clean hahaha

Hi Sylakk

 

Mine's only that mucky because it was used just behind the front line in Normandy, and as you might imagine vehicle cleaning wouldn't have been a top priority for the crew. On proper airfields the vehicles tended to get cleaned regularly- so they wouldn't be as filthy- particularly if yours is undergoing maintenance. 

 

So don't worry about the weathering- and don't forget to publish some photo's so we can all see your good work.
