NFSCARBON
I have a small cupboard that contains my rolling stock and any locomotives that I can't keep on the layout. I also have a few sidings to keep some stock and locomotives in.
Flashbang
Stock trays.Lined trays that stack on top of each other and have approx 5 compartments each tray. Each compartment holds a minimum of a tender loco or a carriage or two/three wagons. Lined with foam to both hold and protect the stock. :-)
Tamworth Stuart
Mine are behind glass in a display cabinet until I have got my layout built.Like NFSCarbon says though, once my layout is complete, the stock will sit in the station or sidings. poliss
Mostly in custom foam trays, but some in large Ferrero Rocher boxes. You have to eat the chocs first of course. :-)

Buz
Hi Where I have the manufacturer's box in that box What's on the layout in the fiddle yard where its under cover. What's none of the above wrapped in news paper and packed in a suitable box.The less you have to handle your stock the better less risk to the fiddly bits that breakAlways keep the box it came in nothing to do with collectors value it means with a bit of luckthe next time you want it , it will still hopefully be in one pieceregards John
