new lad on block
Hi Gordon,I have several different Annie & Clarabel coaches. Some were only available in trainsets so take some sorting. Will do first batch now and if I have time more tomorrow.English coaches, R110 &R112. First picture shows various boxes that the coaches came in.(UK & China)There were three types of R110 & R112 (Made in England) boxes. All are the same blue colour and shape.,The differences are 3 different types of labels and some boxes had the Thomas logo on front. The Annie coach is available with the wrong face,it is Clarabel's face. This is sometimes called 'smiling Annie'.This was only available in small quanties and some say it was a factory error.I have found two 'factory errors' on Clarabel, first is the name only on one side, second is the 'two faced Clarabel' this has faces on front and back of the coach.Could not manage to take photo/media/tinymce_upload/dae2168003b4c33e5f3941f46840df5f.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/e7397b6302603c9ff5d118907844897b.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/125240798169869859512a233e754ea4.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/94637599a91517a33e029ac365354854.JPG of both sides of coach at same time. All early UKcoaches has plastic white wall wheels. NWR-Gordon-4
Thank you for the information and the images new lad on block. I have the standard Britain made Annie and Clarabel's, the factory error 'Smiling Annie', standard first version China made Annie and Clarabel and the second China version, which are the current versions. Currentl version of Annie and Clarabel is the best. I didn't know there's a Clarabel with the face both ends. Do you when this was made? Will have to look out for one. I assuming this is UK made? NWR-Gordon-4
Yes, that will work. 😀 I want this two-faced Clarabel now. Will have to look out for one. I guess it's rare as Smiling Annie and the Red Tidmouth Milk Tanker? GNR-Gordon-

NWR-Gordon-4
Thanks for the effort, new lad on block. 😀 I can see the reflection of the second face in the third image, reflecting on to the disc. I honestly I had no idea that you can get a two-faced Clarabel, but this one I do want to get. Do you know if the two-faced Clarabel was spld on her own, as R112, or in a train set? new lad on block
Hi Gordon, I found that as a loose item, as it is UK made could be either set or as a seperate.Next batch are the China made coaches, first will be for electric.Photo shows different types of boxes for the China versions. Latest release is R9293 both coaches in one box, earlier coaches were still R110 & R112.Note differnce in colour.Other photos show the Large Push-along coaches, two sizes available. Also small plain black wheels without flanges are for clockwork sets with plastic type roadstracks./media/tinymce_upload/238541835988dce9806f568181ac3134.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/cc93e837e477d680c8bed0797e00bdf9.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/3aaa15f4f9ed3f8a0ab54c044ed01d02.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/a60d6321d3f728d82b27cbc39a4564c5.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/40eb1232f34fec98b0cc6108c8d0e8e4.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/bc6edb213a0ec63abf653621844604c8.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/19cdf5874ef44147f3ca763af4f6da36.JPG/media/tinymce_upload/809dd09c35e5fbb205239d65b850b350.JPG
NWR-Gordon-4
OK, from now on, on eBay, in model shops, at model railway exhibitions, etc, I will be on look out for a two-faced Clarabel, separately or in a Train Set. Thanks for the additional photos, new lad block. 😀 R9293 Annie and Clarabel really are the best versions, from Hornby. GNR-Gordon-
