Trainboy and company
When cycling through ideas to heighten making my layout somewhat Thomas themed, I realised to my astonishment that some Ertl trains do indeed run on 00 gauge and HO gauge track. Obviously these trains can't run themselves, but I could push them along myself or a Hornby locomotive could push them. I have an Ertl Toby the tram engine sleeping in an engine shed, and an Ertl Iron Bert shunting trucks in a siding. They are non-moving locos, but they still look nice. Did anybody else know you could do this?
NWR-Gordon-4
I didn't know one could do this and I wouldn't do it, as they are not the smae scale. I would rather not have the character and wait for Bachmann Trains to release the character than make my own. I have Hornby Toby, 'Arry and Bert anyway. I much prefer these to the ERTL toys. new lad on block
Hi Trainboy & Company, I welcome any idea whereby a reasonbable Thomas layout can be created without taking out a morgage.I expect the Hornby Thomas items to become more scarce as they fall into colllectors handsAlready some prices are sky-high.If the layout is for the enjoyment of the younger end, as well as the more mature, I think it is a good idea. NWR-Gordon-4
What does not sell for a lot of money now on eBay, in the Hornby Thomas & Friends will do I am guessing from next year, when the range does end very soon; When all stock sells, which has already happened to some of the remaining Hornby Thomas products.
