Ratch
HMS Dulverton was a Type II Hunt-class destroyer of the Royal Navy. She was laid down on 16 July 1940, and launched 1 April1941, she saw service during the Second World War until being damaged by German aircraft in 1943 during the Battle of Leros and was scuttled. My grandmother’s brother served on HMS Dulverton as an Ordinary Signalman and was lost at sea in 1942, aged 19.
NWR-Gordon-4
More excellent images, Ratch. Well done on this kit and thank you for posting. 😉 😀 Let's just hope this ship does not hit an iceberg and sink, like the Titanic did! 😆 😉 😀 Which scale is this? Sailorman
Which scale is this?Given that it's Airfix it has to be 1:600. Sad about Ratch's relative. So young. War is such a waste.
NWR-Gordon-4
The ship looks very small and 1:600 is a very small scale. GNR-Gordon-4 (AF)
Ratch
Yes, as Patrick says, 1:600. I came across a picture of Albert in my late mother's photo album. It just said Albert Clarke, lost at sea, age 19. I had to do a bit of research and used some articles in the old Airfix Magazines January & February 1971 as my basis for the conversion.
