96RAF
Look for the equivalent spares part number from the basic loco type James was based on. I am not a fan so do not know, however there are plenty on here who will be able to tell you.

Only if the bits you want are not bust on the one you buying as well. Generally a common fault will show up on almost every one for sale as spares or repair. Going Spare
It would appear that none of the unique replacement parts for Thomas-series locomotives driven by the can motor version of what would otherwise be the Schools class tender have yet been made available by Hornby and, as these models were produced some time ago, it would also seem that they are not going to be released.I would therefore suggest you contact Hornby Customer Care (customerservices.uk@hornby.com) and ask whether they can supply the pack (there may be some held for warranty repairs or could be stripped from models returned with other defects) or, if not, seek their advice as to whether the same gears are included in any other packs that are available. Mar Mallard
Many thanks for your replies, I have done as suggested and contacted Hornby direct. They were helpful finding me an equivalent traction tyre for James and Edward so hopefully good luck again!
