Hendy1707822446 Posted April 10, 2021 Share Posted April 10, 2021 Hi all.Im am building up some stock of 2nd hand Scalextric gear.Im looking for info regarding the tech specifications of the cars so I can refurbish & rebuild as required.I have the Valvoline Ford Mondeo & Autosport BMW touring cars. From 1986 I believe.Also have the VW Beetle Cup models.Would like to know info on motors, guides, gears, pickups & tyres.Cheers for any help. Bazzer1707822406 Posted April 15, 2021 Share Posted April 15, 2021 HendyI have found that the best way to figure out this info is to go on websites like Pendle and look in the spares section, things like braids, motors and pinions are used across a reasonable range of Scalextric cars.The good websites are quite helpful at narrowing this down to manufacturing periods as well.I buy second hand cars of similar age to you and with a little bit of TLC they are usually superb value for money.B.
