Zapper
Hiim running my layout using a select controller and am looking at upgrading to the App based system to future proof my layout.ive got 7 sets of points and run up to 5 locos.am I right in saying that I’ll need an HM 6000 and 3x HM6010 units to run the point motors and locos.im a bit confused about power supply. Does the HM6000 come supplied with a power supply or do I need to get that separately?thanksphil
96RAF
The HM modules are part of an analogue control system. Your DCC fitted locos may need reverting to DC.I would advise you to read the guides linked to in the HM | DC forum area (which is a better place to publish this request and where you will find the answers already) and also watch the videos, but in simple terms each HM6000 module can control two locos by way of running them on isolated sections of track. Each HM6010 module can operate four points or signals, very similar to the R8247 DCC accessory decoder. It is clearly displayed on each module product page that you need a power supply as they are not provided with the modules.
