Airfix 1/775 Cutty Sark (A68215) - Starter Set - Back to Basics

It was built for the ATF 2021 Airfix Starter Kit GB, where we could only use the paints, glue and brush that came with the set. The paint consisted of Black, White, Cream and Copper. Annoyingly, the black and white were rock hard and I had to use spares. In addition sprue cutters, sanding board and a craft knife could be used. No filler, rigging, masking, airbrushing, enamel paints etc were allowed.

An interesting build to say the least when you take into account the constraints behind it's build.

Hi Patrick,

As Captain Mainwaring used to say "I wondered who would be the first to spot that"! I had dry-fitted the masts and took the photos in my haste to get the pictures online. Later on I discovered that I had, like you said, swapped the fore and main masts. They have since been fitted in their right places and the correct images have now been uploaded.
