Arc pro

Hi

I recently purchased an ARC PRO and I’m having a few issues.

on the quick start guide the diagram on page 7 shows 2 cables to be inserted into the power base but I only have 1.

I can’t seem to be able to calibrate my cars or set up a pace car. No laps are being registered and my lane changes are intermittent.

Is this all due to there being a missing lead for the power base.

unfortunately although the equipment was brand new it came unboxed from eBay and I bought it at Xmas and have only now got the digital cars to test it.

any advice would be appreciated

thanks

Hi Andrew,

The dual power supplies are only required if you use more than 3-4 cars at once and if you go over 10 meters (roughly 30 feet) of track.

Still, you need really good, right connection of the track. Otherwise some of the problems you pointed out can appear:

Regarding calibration and pace cars I think this guide is the best out there:

Let us know how it goes.

It's been 5 years with the ARC Pro. I stuck with Scalextric for a long time hoping to hear at some point the USB port protocol would be released. This is now affecting how I help local school systems work out keeping tracks running properly. With Bluetooth there is much confusion in a multi track room gettin the app connected, Let alone connected to the proper/ of three respective track layouts. Each track with its own ARC Pro power base, for physicalr science, repair or general usage.

I've said this before and again will say it would be a big benefit to your customers if the USB port could be used to connect and run races. It would be equally beneficial if the protocol was published so programmers could write software for Windows, Linux or MacOS as well as tablet and mobile devices.

Where is the USB port information and protocol?
