Sailorman
Have finally finished my SS Bremen to 1:600 Its a scratchbuild and since it is to 1:600 it matches the Airfix Liner fleet. It has taken since last December to build! Right click on each pic and select "open image in new tab" to see them properly. The catapault alone consists of 100 pieces of stretched sprue! There are about 3,600 pieces to this model. I'll take a couple of pics next to the Airfix ships to show the comparison.
KiwiKev
Absolute madness but I love it. I will have to consider doing something similar for the Mikhail Lermontov, the wreck of which lies not too far from where i am, and which I've dived many times, including taking customers inside. I have made some rough cardboard models to use on dive briefings, as below, but may have to have a go at a 1:600 styrene version. So many ships, so little time!!
