My model has arrived, and states it is 21 pin DCC ready. I see the Hornby 21 PIN decoder is not yet available, so what are people fitting ?

It looks like the decoder socket is in the tender (from instructions), so is there room for a speaker in the tender ? Are there any suitable sound decoders available now, or expected from Hornby or anywhere else ?

with the changes I’ve suggested to the two related thread titles, it will now be a lot clearer they are much the same question.

As a guide to better thread titling, ask yourself what you want to know in raising a new topic then use that as the title. If you only include half of what you want to know, you may miss attracting answers from those who do know.
