Very small cameras are available and track level videos can be recorded on tiny microSD memory cards. People would love to upload videos of their cars in action from a track level POV. Andy P. Posted October 31, 2022 Share Posted October 31, 2022 I understand the sentiment but all the videos I have seen taken with a homemade car setup were exciting for all of 2 minutes. Also because of the perspective unless the car is driven really, really slowly you can't make anything out. The narrow field of vision means things fly by too fast.I did see a guy try to recreate the shots from the movie Le Mans (with Steve McQueen) with 1/24 scale slot cars. It worked but it took days and getting the speed right was difficult.I am not saying don't do it and maybe there is something out there like a camera that can give a better perspective or or slow the video down but to date all I have seen was only mildly interesting....
