Graham-1281246
In the late sixty's I bought an airfix kit that I believe was called a gangbuster ? it was a model of a 1920's car that was used by Al Capone . Has any body heard of this or has any more details ?

Sailorman
I think you are referring to No 821 "Ganbusters" 1928 Lincoln. It could be buit in 3-versions, Classic Luxury Car, Gangsters' get-away car or a police pursuit car. This is a pic from the 6th Edition Catalogue from 1968. peebeep
There was also the '27 Lincoln Roadster and '32 Chrysler Imperial. They came with optional bullet ridden transparencies and were re-boxed MPC kits. I can remember when they were first released one of my friends had all three and they struck me as pretty cool, but I never got around to buying any of them myself. John Symmons
Hi Graham. Those kits were re-boxed MPC models, made the Gangbuster one in what now seems a life-time ago. I remember they came with many options including armament and bot-leg cargo. Not sure about the figures but quite likely. they could be made with the canopy up or down, had a fully detailed engine, many chrome plated parts, (very un-Airfix like) and working steering. Not the easiest models to complete, but looked quite impressive when completed.Remember we do this for fun John the Pom
