Mr2Man
C8-R CorvetteI pre-ordered the number three and number four Corvette, and received them A while ago now. I didn’t open them for a few months, but at the insistence of my grandsons, we got them out and raced them a bit. I have to say I think they are the worst handling cars I have in my whole fleet. Seems like there’s no traction on the rear wheels. They don’t grip, Resulting in a lot of tail slide out. I tried cleaning the tires and roughing them up, but nothing really helps. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so, have you found a workaround. I’m thinking I need different tires, and wondering if any of you have also replace the rear tires on these new Corvettes. Thanks for your help. Andy P.
Well there are quite a few things you can do to tweak the cars' performance: Another user mentioned on the product review that softer tires might help. There is also a chance the magnet is not seated and therefore too far away from the rails.... Mr2Man
Andy, thanks for your thoughts. I’m familiar with the video you linked and the various ways to tweak performance. I’ve double checked the magnets, etc., and all is well. I’m going to try different tires.

Danimal
I have the same car and it slides all over the place. Has anyone found a silicone tire that fits this car? I tried 4 different ones from different manufacturers and they don't seat correctly. This car is not listed in any of the tire-fit lists I have found so far. Thanks in advance
