JJ73
HiyaI've just come back from my Local Model Shop & bought 2 Carriages & a Loco - the Loco Number is fine but I've notice that on both of the Carriages, the running numbers on both the boxes to what is says on the Hornby Web Site don't match up!!! πOn the 1st Carriage that I bought today, on the Hornby Web site - it say :- R4686A BR, Collett 'Bow-Ended' Corridor Brake Third (Left Hand), W4926W - Era 4 but on the side of the box it says :- R4686 BR, Collett Corridor Brake Third (LH) Coach '5092' & on the 2nd Carriage that I bought today, on the Hornby Web site - it say :- R4684A BR, Collett 'Bow-Ended' Corridor Third, W4910W - Era 4 but on the side of the box it says :- R4684 BR Collett Corridor 3rd Coach 4857What's going on here??? π€π
Going Spare
It appears you have purchased 'old' stock - R4684 & R4686 were produced before the A suffix variants.Or are you saying your coaches have running numbers without the W prefix and suffix? LTSR_NSE
Agree with GS - R4684 is not the same as R4684A and R4686 is not the same as R4686A.Hornby use the A,B,C, etc. suffixes for coaches that are similar, but carry different numbers (to enable customers to make up longer rakes without having to resort to re-numbering). JJ73
Thank you both of you replying so quickly - Yes G. S. both of my Carriages have the letter 'W' before & after the number - i.e. 'W 4857 W' (R4684) & 'W 5092 W' (R4686) π
