PaulDM
Does anyone have a technique to remove Acrylic paint from a model? The first one I painted for years ( a Red Arrows gnat starter kit ) I made some noob mistakes and the paint job should just be described as "bad" lol, so I want to strip the model back to the base plastic. PaulDM
Use oven cleaner. Thank you Ratch. Is the model plastic set enough so the oven cleaner will not melt it?
Ratch
Put the model/part in a plastic bag, spray the oven cleaner over it and leave overnight. You may need a brush to get rid of persistent paint, but the plastic will be OK.

Tour de Airfix
@PaulDM I’ve recently found Dettol Liquid does an excellent job in stripping all forms of modelling paint from plastic. It also smells a lot healthier than other cleaners. 😁
