Hi PP

The SWMBO is doing fine after her surgery. Painful at times after losing her lymph nodes and we get the results of her op and biopsy on Monday coming. Thanks for asking. It's nice when folk take time out to think of others and it is well appreciated.

I think I'll pop into that forum to see what's going on in there as I ain't looked at it for a good while.

Here's hoping for good news Monday... :-)

Hi PP and others who asked on previous forum incarnation...

My good lady wife now knows where she stands after her tests following surgery for the bad C in the left  brt. It has to be removed after 6 months of chemo and then she gets reconstruction and 5 years of hormone treatment.

At least we know now and we are being pragmatic and positive. Thanks for your support and thoughts guys.... it's very much appreciated. :-)

If it's any comfort, my wife went through just this 14 years ago now, with no real ill-effects once the whole episode was over. Be strong, be positive and things will work out fine. Treatments for this condition are now very advanced and very effective.

Hi AC

I'm very pleased to hear that SWMBO has now got a 'forward programme' for her treatment etc.. There's nothing worse than not knowing  what happens next and being kept in the dark. Don't expect her to be going back to the 'old' model immediatly but she will eventually will get back to normal. It's just a matter of time, and patience.

A PM through the Model Railway Forum and I'll get back to you, if required.

 Regards

Be strong and keep looking forward. Life is full of ups and downs.

As you know my wife is not well and neither am I. My wife is holding a level at present but I am having test after test and specialist appointments etc.

I have a lot  to deal with at present. I also find Hornby very frustrating, stock, RailMaster, Forum!

I am therefore going to back off for a few months, health first, wife second, trains third, maybe the occassional visit here but not as much as normal. I will have the layout up-ended and play about, wire in the lights to houses and street, cars etc, etc.  as I feel up to them.

Keep the banter going guys, I will be back, hopefully when it is all sorted out here and I know whats what in my/our lives.

Lets also hope Hornby will have received some praise by then and not another 6 or 12 months of frustration and complaints.

Hi PP, bulleidboy and Huwsie

I must thank you all for your wonderful words and encouragement and apologise for not answering your posts earlier. I've been busy all week with tons of stuff, mostly housework as my wife is unable to do any at this time, and I have not been able to use my PC for any extended periods of time. My wife's PC is to receive a new motherboard, processor and RAM as the current board has blown two processors! The second one cost me nothing so no money lost. I've also been racking my brains to come up with a design for my layout and been clearing space in that room. Hence not being on here for a time... is that a bad thing though as this forum begins to resemble a tragedy?

It's not nice reading of other member's partners, and indeed members themselves, suffering illness as we all want to lead happy and healthy lives. Sadly this cannot be for a lot of us at this time.

Huwsie... I'm sorry to hear your wife went through this 14 years ago... I assume she has made a full recovery long since? It heartens me to know, as you say, that treatments have indeed advanced a lot even since then. So this is a positive and I will reassure myself by rembering your words. I very much appreciate them.

Bulleidboy... Thank you too for your kind words... it really does mean a lot that folk I have not met can still offer words of encouragement and offer up their thoughts. Thank you...

PP... I will say Thank You once more to you and that in no way diminishes the meaning of my response. I always appreciate yours and everyone elses kind words and advice on other matters. I will endeavour to look you up on the MRF... I have just enrolled in the last week and left a message saying "Hi" to introduce myself. My name on there is as is here so feel free to drop a PM if you so wish. I will try and make some spare time to pop in today after "chores"!!!!!! :-)

BTW... my wife, Audrey,, is back to the hospital today to have some constant pain checked out where her lymph nodes were removed during her op. A small build up of fluid and some  tightness in the skin is causing her some grief. Hopefully that will be sorted by the medical team.

I'll pop back later with an update but probably won't go into much detail.

Once again I express my deepest thanks to all you guys... I feel better in myself with my thoughts about my good lady when I read your kind words.

Oh MG.... what an error!!

PJ... My humblest of apologies my friend at getting mixed up with PP and putting his initials instead of yours in the post above... please forgive a general fool for this most terrible of errors and may you slap me with a fish if you spot me at a show or similar! lol

My apologies also to PP who will be wondering what I am talking about! :-)

My excuse? Well, it WAS 6.30ish in the morning and I had NO sleep coz it was too warm and my back was in pain... you're all laughing now - I can hear you all! lol

I will try and engage my fingers and brain in a more positive way next time and get things right! :-)
