Chuffing Billy
Most FAA aircraft have been released over the years, but there has never been a 1/48 AEW Gannet. There are1/72 kits available and 1/48 ASW Gannets, but the 1/48 scale version is missing. I'd be so grateful if Airfix could produce a kit to fill this gap. Postman Prat
I think you'll find Italeri (or some other firm) did it about 15 (?) years ago in 1/48. It's never been done in 1/
Caerbannog
Classic Airframes did the ASW in 1:48 and announced but never did the AEW. The ASW is now released again - by Hannants. An ASW in 1:48 was/is also available from Dynavector - but again no AEW.The ASW is was done in resin by Alley Cat in 1:72 and now as IP from Sword. No 1:48 AEW exists yet. Sadly. David Gaylard
Sadly, an AEW Gannet in 1:48 remains a dream.
Ratch
If it doesn't become a kit option, maybe aftermarket will do a conversion kit.
Marto
I'm sure we'll see it from Hornby, look at the Shackleton for evidence. Just might take a while.
