gerlep
Hey there i need some working hornby trains and sets for a short film set in or around 1975. The trains don't have to be specific to that year but circa. Also need a transformer to make it work. any advice would be appreciated.
walkingthedog
May I suggest you visit a local model railway club, they tend to have all sorts of stuff.
Fishmanoz
Do you mean the trains must be 1975 era, or the sets have to have been made then?

gerlep
Do you mean the trains must be 1975 era, or the sets have to have been made then?the film is set around then, so would need something that a kid would have had bought as a gift, that would look newish, so anything in the mid 70s would work. I remember having some myself as it came with a silver transformer which felt quite weighty. I live in North London so if there is a model railway club that someone could suggest, again I would be most appreciative. Thx for the replies thus far. The son of Triangman
Either System Six locking end track or standard Hornby 1970's steel track will be ok as Hornby 1970's steel track started making an appearance late 1975.
