morairamike
So I took the plunge and bought a 2-BIL, arrived today and when unpacked it looks great. So now I need a decoder for it. I will be fitting interior lights and passengers but there are no lit headcode boxes or tail lights on this model. SO what decoder do you recommend, it has an 8 pin socket. The interior lights will probably be Expressmodels strips but they come in three versions, warm white, bright white and yellow. I think that maybe yellow is the correct tone to choose. Any advice welcome.
Howbi
Hornby's R8249 would be suitable......4 functions available for front & rear lights and interior lights.......reasonable price and widely available.........compatible with all Hornby control systems.........however, many other similar makes also available...........HB
Triumph Owner
Does anybody do a sound decoder for the 2-bil? I am thinking of taking the plunge, and converting to DCC, but would like to go the whole hog and use sound. Especially as there is a rumour that somebody is bring out an A1X Terrier with sound. morairamike
Should have said thanks, can't believe it's 11 months since I bought that EMU, haven't done much on my layout since then due to other family problems. Hoping to get back to it soon.
