JasonKerner
Has anyone else had problems with their Elite controller with the numbered buttons requiring to be pressed multiple times before it registers? Its especially noticable when trying to use functions and toggling things like whistles... I have taken it apart once, but still no better - anyone got any ideas? RB51
Hi Jason - this has been reported in the past and I know there is a post by Rob about it - but I'm blowed if I can find it just at the moment. He'll be along shortly to give chapter and verse. R-
96RAF
Usually the action of pressing the buttons will excercise the underlying triangular dome contacts to remove any corrosion from lack of use, but as you state you have had it to bits then I suspect the contacts have moved and are not making contact with the pcb pads as designed. Maybe the sticky tape has lost its sticky./media/tinymce_upload/a928c745a5a29838bd65011d203136ff.JPGI would advise taking it apart again and checking that you have not disturbed the offending contacts.Rob
dh2807
I recently had this problem with my elite. I sent it back to Hornby who repaired it free of charge even though it was a couple of years old. No problems since. A fine example of excellent customer service.Thank you Hornby.
