BlightyExPat
I'm in need of some advice on trying to fit a TTS decoder in my Tangmere (R2221) loco.My issue is that there is so very little space available to fit decoder and loudspeaker. I can probably fit the decoder without too much difficulty but the speaker supplied with Hornby's TTS decoders is much too large.Has anyone had any experience in fitting DCC sound to this loco and can anyone recommend an alternative speaker that I might just manage to squeeze in directly below the funnel, probably measuring no more than 15 x 22mm? Howbi
Replacing the supplied round speaker with a 'sugar cube' is usually the solution........these are small enough......other makes also available......... http://www.youchoos.co.uk/Index-Shop.php?L1=Speakers ..........HB
WilliamDavid
And imo they give a far better sound than the supplied speaker.
BlightyExPat
Many thanks for your replies, I should be able to find something from the wide range available from YouChoos.
BlightyExPat
I checked the range of speakers available from YouChoos, and others, and found that there were many potential options, sufficiently small enough to fit directly below the funnel. Hadn't realised just what was available! I've ordered a Sugar Cube 9.
