2e0dtoeric
Hattons special - http://www.hattons.co.uk/17568/Hornby_R1080_Virgin_Cross_Country_HST_complete_train_set/StockDetail.aspxsnipped - Hornby R1080 OO Gauge (1:76 Scale) "Virgin Cross Country HST" complete train set DCC suitability unknown so you'd probably have to hard-wire it. Howbi
Yes you can fit a decoder into this 125 style loco but you will have to solder it to the wiring from the pickups and the motor.......the best way would be to install an 8 pin socket which would also enable you to fit front and rear lights.........depending on your soldering skills......with the socket in place it is then easier to change the decoder in the future if needed.........HB

Michael_A
On a side note, Hattons own decoders plug into a harness, so you don't have to fit the 8 pin socket to replace the decoder....
