Kevin Hodges
I just bought a Bachmann Class 105 DMU Set that requires 2x 8 Pin decoders. One in the loco, one in the dummy for the lighting. Will the Hornby R8249 8 Pin decoders be plug & play ? Thanks Kev.
Howbi
Hi Kevin.........according to the Bachmann catalogue the Class 105 DMU requires two 8-pin decoders so there is no reason why your R8249s wouldn't work.......just plug them in and tape in position (remember pin 1 to pin 1 on the socket)........HB
Kevin Hodges
Thanks Howbiman, I wasn't sure if the wiring was the same. I'm new to fitting DCC decoders. Kev.
96RAF
The only thing is - depending upon your controller and its firmware revision you may have to program both cars together to the same address as some controllers need a motor load to allow programming. Or you,can program one in the motor car then swap,it into the trailer car and program the second one in the motor car To the same address.
