TheOldChuffer
I've finally managed to make a TTS decoder make noise!Bought and fitted the new Class 43 chip to a DCC ready class 43. BUT!!The sound is working fine in the powered and non powered cars however it won't move! I rev's up and then applies the brakes but there is no movement.I'm using a Digitrax Zephyr controller. Has anyone else had a similar issue??ThanksJon
Chrissaf
I know it sounds strange, but humour me on this one..Turn the loco round by 180° on the track so that it is facing the other way. Do you experience any control over it now (or different control observations). If you do, then have a read of this previous post by Hornby Admin..https://www.hornby.com/uk-en/forum/hornby-tts-decoders-reported-problems/
Traincliff
I will be watching this thread with interest having just ordered the same pair of chips from a well known Merseyside mail order company. My intention is to install them in a Lima HST set. I will be interested in others' experiences of installing TTS decoders as I think I have a queue of 4 waiting installation when I get time. I will be using Hornby Elite for programming.Cliff
96RAF
My many TTS decoders, steam and diesel, pre-fitted and retro kits all work fine with my Elite, Select and eLink.Go ahead and fit them. TTS isn’t very impressive in the box.Rob

96RAF
I have a pair of TTS that will be going into the Class 43/253 Intercity 125 HSTs that I recently posted on the Latest Aqcuisition thread, which is ringfield motored. I will do a full conversion to DCC and led lights instead of the bulbs and post progress in the next few weeks when I get home again.Rob
Traincliff
Thanks for the positive views - all I need to find is the time to get busy with the soldering iron.
