Throppers
Hi all,My first TTS decoder arrived in the post today and I plugged it in to test it. The decoder seems to cause very jumpy movement especially at low speed. I have testing the same loco on the same bit o track and rolling road with a different decoder and it is perfectly smooth. The wheels and track were also cleaned yesterday so it's not a contact issue. Any thoughts from anyone? I am wondering if it's simply faulty but thought I'd see if there are any suggestions before I return it.Video of jumpy running with TTS decoder fitted:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrwLeIWd7WwVideo of smooth running with Hattons decoder fitted on same loco and same bit of trackhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWzu0zjdAsA&feature=youtu.beThanks. 96RAF
You need to fiddle with TTS CVs, try setting CV150 to value 1 for a start. Then you can refine the motor response by adjusting the P & I values for the better of the 2 algorithms.Rob
2e0dtoeric
RAF is assuming the poster has an Elite or similar, and not a Select, in which case he cannot tweak cv's!
Howbi
From Throppers posts on the MRF he has equipment capable of changing all CVs.and from my experience, changing CV150 to 1 significantly improves the smooth running on the TTS decoder........HB
