81F
Following on from my queries in the remotoring thread, can CV5 (max voltage be altered on any of the Hornby Chips? Sadly I have lost my instructions and I do not want to play with any of the CVs on my Hornby chipped locos as I have just got them running nicely. If not can anyone suggest an inexpensive alternative which can have CV 5 reduced.
96RAF
Zimohttp://www.zimo.at/web2010/products/lokdecoder_EN.htmExpand the all decoder features bit which shows all decoders support 3-point speed curves.Rob
Rog RJ
CV5 can be altered on the Sapphire decoders but not on the basic R8249 or TTS decoders.Lenz Standard decoders are very good value for money.
Flashbang
HiAs Rog has stated not adjustable on the basic Hornby decoder. If you do obtain a better decoder and can adjust CV5 then you need also to ideally adjust CV6 too. CV6 needs to be between 1/3 to a maximum of 1/2 the value of what is set in CV5.e.g. If CV5 is set to 180, CV6 needs to be around 60 to a maximum of 90. pd91223
I had problems with a Hatton with my RailMaster/Elink and have had to swap it out. I replaced it with a Gaugemaster DCC29, which works fine.
