Will Hay
Is it usual for Hornby to delay release of a new range? I'm waiting for the R3887, which shoulda come out in Jan 2020.
96RAF
They turn up when they turn up unfortunately. Its all down to the factories getting them on a boat, but with the current medical flap who knows when any of that will happen.
81F
Does anyone know when Hornby's ROD J36 is to be released?
NWR-Gordon-4
Many models get delayed and are released a long time after their estimated arrival date. I have waited over 2 years before for one model and I pre-ordered soon it, soon after it's announcement. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
JJ73
Hey Jacob - But did you ever get that model in the End that you waited for???
NWR-Gordon-4
Yes, of course I did. I was not going to pre-order something for over 2 years and cancel the order, think I was neevr going to receive it. The onlt way I would have not recived the model, was if the manufacturer had cancelled the model, which did not happen and I am glad that did not happen. Thankfully, model railway products do not cancelled very often and models I do know that were cancelled, are products that I did not want, so it didn't matter to me. JJ73
Wow that's pretty amazing - I don't think that I could wait that long!!! May be a year perhaps!!!
NWR-Gordon-4
You have no choice to wait, unless you decide to cancel the pre-order. Nothing can be done to get the product any faster. I believe it was the tooling that caused the majority of the delay, for the Oxford Rail product that I was waiting for. GNR-Gordon-4 (HF)
81F
Of course the manufacturer could stop supplying the shop you pre-ordered from! I had been waiting ages for the Bachmann 94XX pannier from Hattons when Bachmann stopped supplying. I have now pre-ordered from Rails but I am still waing. Bachmann seem to be worse but other long waits were for the DAPOL Junction signal and the Kernow GWR Steam Railmotor.
