I started this one 50 years ago  😳  I stopped when I reached the ratlines as I didn't like them.  I tried using cotton but didn't like that either.  I'm now waiting for Airfix to release the Royal Sovereign because (a) I want that one and (b) I've heard they are now providing some form of jigs to build your own ratlines.  When that happens I'll finish the kit!

Do you plan on finishing it, if you don't mind me asking?

Yes, As soon as I find a way to reproduce the ratlines.  As I say I am hoping Airfix release the Sovereign of the Seas with the new method for making ratlines so that I can see how they're done.

This is a great post. I’m really enjoying seeing such a variety of models - thanks to all.

Here’s a few more from my garage hangar. Note that I do tend to use alternative markings from those supplied with the kit.

Canopy painted freehand and squadron codes [60 Sqn, India] applied w/o a decal solution - must do better next time.

I have to admit that the Fulmar has been included just for variety. It still requires further work as you can see. Looks quite at home on the wooden deck though :-)
