New Website Stock Categorisation Mistakes

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if we should be posting any mistakes that we find in the website content or not?

For instance that the picture chosen for "Era 3" is clearly marked up as a BR train (the club 2021 loco in fact), or that the "14T Tank Wagon, United Daries - Era 3" appears when filtering on Era 11?

Whilst some are jarring, I flip from laughing to getting annoyed, depending upon whether I'm failing to find an item or just coming across some strange juxtaposition of categorisation.

If anyone does post website errors you will have to post far more details than those contained in the example initial post above. Like affected webpage URLs for example. Exactly what steps need to be followed to replicate the error, so that it can be reproduced. If the error cannot be reproduced by developer personnel then it is near impossible to correct. Extensive detail being provided in any report is key.

It should also be noted that reporting main site errors too early may be counter-productive. The main website is still a 'work in progress' with the developers, and lots of these issues are likely to be found via 'due diligence' and 'due process' that the developer activity is focusing on.

By all means, if still an issue in a months time, then report.

They maybe should have thought about due diligence and process before making the site live.
