Glenn-1252345
Railway modelling is a new genre for me, being a military modelling enthusiast. So I have delved in to hobby head first and produced my first ever layout a compact shunting yard based in the 3rd era and using a GWR Great Prairie. Space was a premium so this project comes in at only 40cm wide and 1.20m long. What I will say is planning, and getting the basics right, as in the track layout, theme and power, will save a lot of time effort and money. This aspect of the project proved to be challenging, how ever perseverance, listening to advice and watching reams of related videos was really helpful. Even with a limited build space and tight parameters the build was a steep learning journey, and a lot of fun.Glenn Russell.

RDS
@GlennModerator Note:It is in your own interest to have a unique user name. Could you please select ‘My Account’ towards the top right hand corner of your screen, then Community and choose a nickname in the ‘My Profile' tab, rather than your First name that has been automatically allocated by the system. We had hoped a Forum change was coming to prevent this automatic allocation but a manual change is required at the moment and there will be more than one member with your name. This request together with some other information for new posters is contained in a thread at the top of the General Discussion section called ‘Information for new members registering for the Forum’
