Paulus66
Here's my offering of the Me Bf109e starter kit. What an amazing little kit, a joy to build every step of the way. It's not often you get engine detail in a kit of this scale. I've bought another one to have a go at some engine detailing.
SD45elect2000
I like it, there are literally hundreds of aftermarket decals for these, I wouldn’t stop at just two of them. But that’s just me…..Randall
Paulus66
Thank you Randall,There are few others I would like to do, marking for the Polish campaign and pre Battle Of Britain. Just have to finish my B.o.B plane display first.
SD45elect2000
Thank you Randall,There are few others I would like to do, marking for the Polish campaign and pre Battle Of Britain. Just have to finish my B.o.B plane display first. You might be surprised as you build a bunch of them how good you get at them, often the later ones I build are much better than the first. Paulus66
I hope so. Working on some of the Aces might be an idea.
John Symmons
Hi Pa uluus66.Seems like you're going to need a good supply of RLM colours. Love to see the finished result. Did you manage to separate the antenna from the sprue without breaking it, if so how?Below is a couple of photos of my effort from a few years back with added mg guns under the cowling.Brush painting the yellow over the green wasn't a good idea. the guns do line up with the drilled out cowling. The antenna was scratched built as the supplied part shattered removing it from the sprue frame.Remember we do this for fun. Paulus66
Hi John the PomThanks for commenting. Yes, I managed to remove it without breaking it. I used some wide tipped tweezers with two blobs of Bluetac on the ends to stop it pinging across the room. Once gripped cutters were employed to make the snip.Lovely work on your Bf 109. I have some Romanian decals somewhere, so one will most certainly be having those added. It's all about fun and enjoyment. Paul
