rpjallan
Anyone know anything about these? I have one in need of repair. Is a wiring diagram available at all? There are two components on the output with yellow heat shrink of some sort. One is obviously burnt out. I assumed they were both some kind of resistor but neither shows any resistance. Any help appreciated.
ntpntpntp
I found a diagram for the RT.42 on this page which I presume is an earlier version of the circuit control unit. I wonder if the components you're referring to are the interference suppressor / chokes?Service Sheets | Model Train Spare Parts selling Hornby Train Spare Parts and Triang Train Spare PartsSHEET_14.webp (1300×1788)Maybe you can post a photo of the innards of your unit? rpjallan
Thanks for that. I reckon you're correct - They're some sort of suppressor or choke. Now to find something to replace them with. Or should I even bother?
96RAF
They are chokes and can be linked through in lieu of replacement.
