Robert -348404 Posted August 12 Share Posted August 12 Hi all has anyone had a problem with a hm7000txs8 decoder I’ve bought several decoders direct from hornby and been fitting them in my locos but one of them I’m finding after about half hour running the sound starts to break up and distort they are the latest batch within the last couple of weeks as I had to wait till the 8 pin decoders came back in stock Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BurwellMike Posted August 13 Share Posted August 13 Yes, I had exactly the same issue with an 8 pin from the latest batch. Sound distorted after a while and volume gradually decreased. I asked tech support for advice and got an immediate reply that suggested trying another speaker (I told them I had a spare as I had a TT loco prefitted with speaker).
