daveyplod
When i start up my elite either connected to track or not, a blank screen is shown. If I press "loco" all the fields on the screen are filled with black print. After 5 sec or so, the screen just displays "Hornby". Pressing any button just displays the sequence number of that button. Turning either knob causes the display to vary between P20 and P29. My question is, how do I reset the unit to its normal functionality?
RDS
@daveyplod The method of resetting the Elite is described in the Elite manual. If you do not have a copy, it can be downloaded or just viewed on this Hornby website, down the Left Hand Side, under Downloads. You need to be sure that this is what you want to do though, because all information you have stored in your Elite will be deleted.
Gregd99
I had an elite that behaved in a similar way to what you describe..... it went back to Hornby for repair.
Fishmanoz
Sounds like it is beyond Reset but try if you can. You could also try reloading the latest firmware and see if that fixes it. Otherwise I'm with Greg.
