RDS
According to an email I have received this evening from Hornby, the R8247 is back in stock.
Graskie
Yes, I noticed that as well. I just wonder how many after the recent rather long dearth of them available. And exactly what changes have been made to improve them?

Fishmanoz
Unless they have yet to update the description, it seems that Hornby have lost an opportunity here. The problem I see is that they only talk about solenoid point motors, accessories like turntables and lighting. The problem is not a word about learn mode programming nor about signal operation and the need to program other than port address and pulse length CVs. Yes there have been people hanging out for these and they'll have a market simply because they are Hornby but people will realise that things have moved on and a lot more can be expected of their accessory decoders than can be done by an old spec 8247. I suspect it will take until RM includes the signal changing capability that people such as Ray and PJ have been discussing with HRMS before Hornby get it and realise that they've spent over 12 months getting back to market with a product that many have moved on from. But maybe they have and it's just the description that is behind.
