No real comment was posted above on the sounds, but I have heard it is very realistic both in the quality of the sound and the way it operates, especially at the price.Roll on the other TTS diesels. PJ_model_trains
Hi RAF It's good news Hornby are shipping to retailers faster, they should. Although it seems only some have the train so far. I guess they are working through trade orders and pre-orders with Hornby will be shipped out before they make the train live on the Hornby site. Feed back on sound is what I am after but, yes, I look forward to other diesels soon. PJ

96RAF
Sounds like a proper tractor, but then isn't that what 37s were known as.Through pc speakers it sounded well OK to my duff ears.
Rob_F
I took the plunge and drove through the snow and picked one up from a friendly model shop in Cardiff yesterday at a very reasonable £76. Apart from the wrong nose I have say I'm impressed. Here are a couple of links of it working. https://flic.kr/p/qNqzyJ https://flic.kr/p/qy543m Rob
PJ_model_trains
Looks good, Sounds pretty good also. If ever there was a train colour that needed weathering, I think, this is the one. But that is another subject ;o) Excellent Rob and good value for money. Thanks for sharing. PJ

gilbo2
From the reviews the loco sounds really good! I'm not sure about the appearance though, dare I say it, looks a bit like a toy? Needs weathering I guess as suggested?!

Needs weathering I guess as suggested?!At that price I might buy one and swap the body for one of my spare shells! Colour is awful!
Rocketcooper2000
yes the finish is not great which I was expecting.. im waiting for the mags to do a conversion/detail or see how easy it is to change the chip to a Bachman etc.. on the detailiong front it could reawake a side of the hobby that isnt to common anymore, spending a weekend doing a super detail...? any ideas on parts etc.. fargo
Meets all of my expectations considering price etc.It is a bit "yellow", but once I have finished my Network Rail rolling stock, I'll look to repaint / detail the loco. Lights need to be an early addition.I have all of the sounds working through JMRI.Ian
