It's probably a little late to suggest these items.
They were all first released 50 years ago by Tri-Ang.

Time for a bit of sick homour. On our last visit to NRM my lads wanted a picture of them beside Winston Churchill, in an effort to recreate myself and my Granddad at Bournemouth West aside Mortehoe. The picture was taken, and I told them to check out the

name.
I then underwent a tirade of abuse.
When "Winnie" was released, I got her for a Christmas present ( Smoke and Maghedsion ) at the time loved her to bits, she was stolen in the early 90's, and I don't give a monkeys cuss.
I still have my 31 that

was a present before Winnie ( experimental blue ), the day we went to pick her up, we saw probably the last L1 ( 4-4-0 ).
I agree if the tooling exists lets have the loco's mentioned, but there is one omission,
Ready for this,
are you sure,
THE

SOUTHERN FOUR SUB !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, on the good side, have seen plenty of 1, 3, and 4 up for sale if you look hard enough.

No.2, know someone who just got 2 in absolutely mint condition, have 1 earmarked for me if I want it. No:6, got the old "snowplough" version of this.

Any particular colour of Nellie?
Got 2 blue ones, a green one, a black one, a red "silver dome"

one, plus of course red Polly and yellow Connie. :)
Might be worth hanging on a bit though, certainly Hornby will have to consider doing a special "50th Anniversary" Nellie set, by popular demand.

The Southern Suburban looks great. It probably wouldn't cost too much either:

For the last few years, Hornby has had a Dean Single train pack in the catalogue. I think there were a least three different offerings: Lord of the Isles, the

Flying Dutchman, with Royal Sovereign and Great Western.)

This one is the most recent: https://www.hornby.com/shop/train-packs/r2956-gwr-4-2-2-175-dean-single-train-pack-limited-edition-1000/

All the old Tri-ang stuff is available at toy fairs.
As for Nellie, I suggest they wait until they have invented a paint

that makes thing invisible, paint it with that and it will disappear, how delightful!!!

I presume you mean the Triang one? That is an outragious price! I have bought them for much less than that. It is a good reason for a re-issued and improved version that can run on modern track though! Once Hornby started to produce their latest and excellent

N15 the prices of 'Sir Dinadan' came down to something much more reasonable!

I was going to kit bash some 00 suburban coaches from a manufacturer who now is in the N gauge market only. They were about right to produce a South Eastern section Sub, regret not carrying out the dastardly deed. Also I have tucked away some plastic kit

sides that are about right for a 2 car set, forgive my only working steam driven brain cell, but they are right for an SL/Wim.

I have been collecting the Tri-ang / Hornby short clerestory coaches for some time as

the bodywork is not too dissimilar to the LBSCR carriages that were used to convert to some of the SR electric 3Sub units. You have to throw away the roofs of course, but new roofs are reasonably easy to make out of plastic card. I also have a few Tri-ang

motor bogies which have had the wheels re-profiled so I have a reasonable power source. To get the correct proportion of compartments (first / third) you have to cut them into sections and stick them back in a different order, and the tumblehome ends need

to be replaced, again with plastic card.
The driving ends need to be made in plastic card, and that is quite fiddly and so is the dome over the cab, but in the end it does create a fairly acceptable representation. There are lots of these carriages on the

second hand market and they are available in cheap sets as well.
I found that the GF suburbans are very tricky to glue, the plastic used is not polystyrene or ABS. I did think about using these myself.

Hi guys
Some of the trans continetal range would be nice the little red caboose just for starters.
What would not be nice is the return of those dreadful knurled wheels.
I also think the lighting on the loco's should be LED.
The yard switcher

with rear bogie pick up thus all metal wheels, pilot front and rear
and this last one may be a bit contraversial a proper buffer beam plate that can be glued on
then drilled for buffers to be fitted.
Also a return of the railway children teak coach

only this time fitted with buffers.

I'd love to see led lights fitted to all loco's, even the Steam locomotives.

I know some people would complain about head codes being wrong, though I suppose Hornby could always position the lights in their most popular configuration, or maybe make 2 versions of a loco.

I have an 'O' gauge locomotive with three lamps on the front and under the footplate are small switches that allow each one to be switched on or off. With DCC of course if you had enough functions you could change the lights remotely.

Hi Choobaca
A number of the trans continental

range loco's show up on the second hand market with heat distortion.
Often put down to motor problems but in a lot of cases the distortion location suggests it May in fact be the loco lighting that did the damage yes a lot of them had lights
LED lighting

would remove the light as a heat source

I am in the head coade sceptic camp but if the code could be set up so the disks can be changed or lights changed that would be good.
Perhaps metal lamp brackets that turn on the light once its fitted to the

loco.

The Blue Pullman please,i know its actually a cliche to request this model but i was a baby last time it was produced and i just want one lol,not a super detail everything drops off when you sneeze in the same room as it one but a Railroad range one based

on the original tooling,i wont be counting rivets!

Yep, Blue Pullman, the R.253 Dock Shunter gets my vote too with the later wheelsets for code 100 track. L1, Jinty with Synchrosmoke, M7 with opening smokebox door and fire box glow, Stephensons Rocket, WAB baltic tank loco, EM2, Steeple Cab, Nellie(sorry
WTD), Hall, 3F tender loco, Davy Crockett, Battle space turbo car!

And not forgetting

The Tri-ang-Hornby A3 with firebox glow and exhuast sound. A Tri-ang-Hornby A3 holds the distance record and belongs to James May, they have been like gold
dust since the program.
