Yes, you can plainly see, just by viewing these three images, how mcuh better the kits are nowadays, than they were in the past.

By the sound of the condition of yours, they appear to be in better condition than yours is in though. I expect they are still in working order, or what's the point of the seller having them for sale?

Yes, the original Airfix forum was closed in March (DaveCov launched the ATF on April 21) and Hornby Hobbies took over in the August.
You know what, I am generally surpised by this. I generally thought it was longer than 2006, when Hornby Hobbies purchased Airfix. Thank you for telling me this. I am very gald you have. 😀

They probably wouldn't want the addtional copy back Station Cat, due to the risk of Coronavirus. If anyone gets any duplicate magazines, which some members had, best to keep them, sell them or recycle them.

I hope are able to find a decent chassis. I think you will have job finding one those. You might have to buy a donor a car, to the get chassis piece.

There is nothing wrong with Dapol tankers. As long as the Dapol tankers are OO gauge, then they will still couple to your other Hornby wagons. There is also nothing wrong with mix and matching locomotives and / or wagons from different model railway manufacturers, if this is what you are concerned about.
