  1. I have had an occasion to take up 4 pieces of track stuck down with copydex, I used very hot water and dipped the end of a sponge into it, and gently massaged the ballast and sides of track several times, then was able to slip a small flat file under the ballast and lift quite easily.
  2. Willington Dene on Etsy produce a TT120 home and distant GWR signal to assemble, and also plans to do gantry signals too.
  3. Just sign into TT`120 Club and scroll down, easy as that.
  4. Just watched the vid, as a relative new boy that is exactly the sort of thing I will be following as I soon embark on some card kit building.. I also regularly use the other videos for tutorial and learning. They are really helpful. Thanks for making such a great effort with these Peachy.
  5. I had blink Bonny away to Hornby for second time. Got it back with same reason as above, NEW CHASSIS ASSEMBLY FITTED UNDER WARRANTY, don't know why, they know more than Me for sure, but would have helped to understand the underlying reason. When My locos are out of warranty in the not too distant future, it may become an expensive issue, so I truly hope that the quality control / design pre release is improved upon. Am sure they can focus on the issues people have had and use it for continuous improvement. Looking forward to 3 more locos on order first half 2024. Do not wish this to be seen negatively, because customer service truly have really been A1, if You pardon the pun.
  6. No curve scraping at all, they are very free running. Hornby seem to have addressed the issue of the protruding tabs, so happy with that.
  7. Three MK1 blood & custard coaches including brake. 48 hour service too, pleasing.
  8. Got My 08 earlier today. Got to say it looks superb and running in very well indeed .Smooth as silk in fact on Gaugemaster controller.
  9. I have had Blink Bonny back once and Easterner back once. All currently running well, especially Mallard which was the last one I bought. Its all a bit disconcerting though when as You say a lot of money and time is invested in this hobby. Hope there is a learning curve with the product at Hornby, they cannot keep letting this happen in the long run.
  10. Thanks von Klinkerhoffe, I had not seen that post previously so that was helpful.
  11. Thanks for the explanation All, I thought that might be the case but was not certain. Am going to be using dual gaugemaster control in a day or two running 2 trains, so the pins would not really be required, until I eventually move to DC probably next year.
  12. My Easterner set arrived today, am now waiting for TT power track pins to arrive to connect new Gaugemaster dual control to run loco in on.
  13. In the product info it states " These clips do also have certain specific uses for analogue running.". Can anyone please explain what the specific uses are ?
  14. In case some people do not know, You can download Issue 1 magazine PDF from Your TT120 Club Members Area. Enjoy the read.
  15. I cancelled all My track packs on Monday 13 Feb, made a list of all the track pieces needed for packs 2 to 5 , ( 34 pieces ) ordered them separately ex stock , and they arrived today.15 Feb. Brilliant service, well done Hornby.
  16. Underneath the packaging in the Scotsman set was a leaflet showing how to lubricate the loco, and how to remove the body easily to do so. Would be surprised if same leaflet was not in Easterner set.
  17. Received a stock alert for the Signal Box today which had been out of stock rather quickly, needless to say ordered it straight away, so stock alerts do work.
  18. Click the item , select " Whats inside" and it tells You. What's Inside1 x TT8008, 5 x TT8003, 1 x TT8010
  19. Ordered end November. Scotsman set arriving today with DPD. Could do with Hornby updating us re delivery of track extension packs, looking forward to getting started in New Year.
  20. Another new boy here, ( old really! ) first foray into railway modelling and looking forward to starting to build My layout. Watching plenty of online videos and tutorials and reading plenty to get some ideas of track laying, ballasting and gluing, in preparation. Am absolutely sold on TT:120, it just fits My space requirements and is going to look so good.
