  1. Can any party recommend an alternative acrylic based varnish to klear that can be sourced at the supermarket as I cannot locate this product I am aware the Mfr changed its name but again cannot find Can an own label be used if so what would suggest or should I stick with Humbrol and similar Mfr's
  2. Would I right in saying prior to applying transfers the varnish you would use on Modern Aircraft is Gloss Coat and Military vehicles/aircraft Matt coat ?
  3. I have to say they look really great - assume combination of airbrush and hand painting
  4. Am new to Airbrushing , have always used brushes and previously enamel paints I am wanting to get a little more realistic and stop the house smelling of turpentine laughing Can I ask for advice if the the Acrylic Dropper range if preferable to the Acrylic pots for Airbrushing ?thinking_face To thin for spraying would you use water or do you have to use an Acrylic Thinner 1 or 2 coats on a primed surface thinking_face And finally what is best or recommended psi to operate these substrates at ? appreciate feedbackthumbsup
  5. Thank you to those that replied ref my question Prime or Not to prime , my primers are Humbrol acrylic aerosol and tin/pot and Revell pot I have researched Airbrushes and it does seem to be down to personal experiences , being a nocive in this medium could I ask for recommendations and where could I source an air brush kit and compressor at reasonable price as new to this medium I am based in the Greater Manchester area Appreciate any all feedback recommendations so thank you all in advance Kind Regards and stay safe
  6. Hope can help Have to confess like Humbroll enamel , not a big fan of acrylics , however times move on and its obvious that enamel will be phased out and water based acrylics will remain .. VHS vs Betamax , so have taken plunge and bought a basic airbrush kit , now when using a primer I felt I had to almost dilute the product before I could use and the effect was very poor So my question is do you prime using Airbrush or just wash surfaces in soapy water and let dry , or don't prime with Airbrush use bristle brush Direction welcome Also would anyone know where I can source 2nd hand Airbrush/Compressors
