  1. Hi 2e0 You have a lot going on there... I couldn't find the box with your name and address on it though 😎 But I did find myself duck a few times with those low flying aircraft. 🤐 Keep up the good work 2e0 and make sure you never finish it completely, always leave something still to do. You could add details of what camera you used etc, I am sure people will be interested.
  2. You have a brilliant layout Phul007, it is great to view, so much work, so much detail, well done. The video helps us see so much more.
  3. Excellent Andy It looks really good, you have been very busy. Thanks for sharing
  4. Maybe Hornby needs to detect where they put Loco Detection and share it with us. It is a joke, 5 years of promises, including 'coming soon' 'coming very soon' and at one point I recall imminent. I am sure when they said those things they were with best intentions. May be it would be best to guess a year instead of guess a date when LD will be available/launched. 5 years down so I think it is fair to suggest up to 5 years from now.
  5. That's it RDS, have a clean sweep. Now is that on topic or off topic. 🤔
  6. Page 56 and still running!!! It seems to me trying to guess when Loco Deection will arrive is harder than trying to win the lottery. 🤐
  7. Hi Rod, thank you for the encouragement. As mentioned earlier, there are many better layouts, but the beauty of this hobby they are all different and, I think, it is great to share ideas. I do like the idea the other forum has where you can build up a diary of your progress, I often look back, it encourages me to move forward. 😉 I am chuffed I am now starting on adding signals (between other jobs), I am also very pleased with the feathers added to the Train-Tech signals. There will be more on this subject in a day or so (in the RailMaster forum).
  8. For anyone who may be interested I confirm I have uploaded another 7 images to my Gallery layout diary. Updates include: 7 Train-Tech signals at the exit of Bottom-le-Dale Station. The signals have no fingers these were removed, unlike last layout they are not solderedto the track, this time they are wired under the layout to the DCC Accessory Bus which is much neater and a lot easier. 2 of these signals have CR Signals feathers added to them, unless you knew you would probably not know they are added to the signals. The feathers are wired under the layout and go to Train-Tech, One Touch, SC1 decoders. Each decoder is being used to control two individual feathers making them very cost effective. The SC1 decoders are placed in a bank, which hinges down for setting and folds away whan not in use. Signals and feather addresses set, I can now start to programming this first batch within the points and signals in RM and test them in route programs in RM Other additional items this week include lighting to the signage of the Ralway Inn and one car, I still have another car to complete and add lighting inside the building. All lighting is 12 volt using a separate transformer and lighting bus. I have a long way to go before the layout looks anything like some of the brilliant ones I have seen on here. Keep sharing guys. 😉 To view click the Gallery Link below.
  9. I know what you mean WTD, I knew what you meant also. I just saw the funny side. 😆
  10. Your last message should have a warning attached... It could be damaging to your wallet. What's a real picture WTD? 😎
  11. You have spoilt it now Paul.P I thought it looked really good, the people were not moving like mine are on my layout. There were no leaves falling from the trees, but I couldn't manage to get the steam like in that image. Now I know why. I agree with WTD, good harmless fun. A few comments and chuckles, it wasn't a run away train like some conversations can get on here.
  12. Hi Bulver No it isn't a rubber keyboard. LOL. Most keyboards have the extra keys at the side, not wanted for RM, so it is a basic Maplin's keyboard without all the additional keys, so as to take up less space, but has a plastic keyboard overlay. Ideal for keeping things clean whilst modelling, I thought maybe the plastic overlay will not last but I have had it over a year now and use the PC for more than just RM. I got it when their sale was on for £9.99, I think it was half price.
  13. Hi WTD Yes it does but not to their forum, to a Gallery on their forum. It is an easy way of adding images for your layout as you build it, a sort of layout diary of pictures. It is nice to look back on, but also I find, looking at other peoples layouts and Galleries is handy from the point of view you end up saying... 'I never thought of that' or 'I never knew about that' or 'I didn't know you could buy them' We all have the same hobby, but we all have and do things differently, no two layouts are the same, that in itself I think is so good about the hobby. Every layout is different, every choice of loco/train is different, every bit of scenery we add is different to what someones else has done. We can learn so much from each other. I think 😉
  14. For anyone interested I have included another 6 images to the Gallery over the last couple of days. (4 today) The current updates include work above the layout for, lights to the Railway Inn, cars, station platforms, Burger Bar, street lighting etc, with provision for controlling 14 different items, or sets of items, across the layout. I hope to starting connect these up in the next few days. 😆 To view them click th Gallery Image link below.
  15. I was just riveted looking at the picture. 😆
  16. If the people were moving 2eO I would think it was real. 😉
  17. It all looks brilliant WTD Glad to see you left room for a cup of tea... just. Lots of locos on their, I bet you have more than we can see on here.
  18. thankyou PJ,the hedges were purchased Where did you purchase them Paul.P? Hornby don't do them so it is fine to confirm manufacture etc on here.
  19. Hi WTD Your layout looks brilliant, a lot of man hours I think but really worth it. Amazing when you consider the hours you spend on here. 😆 Thanks for sharing
  20. Hi Paul.P The scenery looks good, did you make the hedging or purchase ?
  21. It's been a busy week sat on my butt 😎 But another area of the layout starts to take shape... 4 new images have been added to the 'Gallery Link' below today Looks like another busy week awaits 😆
  22. Hi Stevescan On my last layout I used Metcalfe's Models coping strips, I placedthe building where I wanted it then stuck the coping strips along the bottom of the buildings cutting where necessary to match irregularities, making sure that the top edge matched the brickwork but the bottom edge matched where it came in contact with the layout. There is always ways round these niggles. 😉
  23. Hi Jimbopuff If you cover the layout make sure it can breath. If you cover with plastic for example and there is no air movement you could have additional issues.
