Hi, Just been checking,my first thought perhaps a surplus Iron Duke tender from 1975 ish.They are not lined thougth.As one of the NRM was produced 1983,I must assume the other R301 is around the same time.Checked Britannias,earliest BRb crest, was R190, Britannia,made 1992.

Hi, Further to the NRM Sp. Ed.Latest edition of the Ramsey guide Lists R301 Sp. Ed. NRM states it had a BRb crest.The date is unknown.no production number.It also lists Sp. Bought it because contents were as new.Off topic but have you noticed that the Tidmouth Milk trucks have different wheels sets on the China version.Also some have a larger version of 'Tidmouth' printed on side.

Hi Gordon,Percy available as R852,made in UK and China version.R9686 Ltd. Just taken delivery of R3400, Golden Arrow Train Pack,Three diferent type U Pullman lit coaches.I think this is the first time modeled by Hornby.Sold out at Hornby, but good discounts still available on this pack.Rebuilt W.C. Appledore BRc also in pack.

Picture of the face does not show it but there is a slight difference in the grey plastic.I believe the Bachmann face is lighter than the Hornby one.Checked my Hornby catalogues back to 1985 all show the darker face as normal.If you have any photos or links to the lighter diesel face could you please advise where I can view them.

Hi, Uploaded pictures of the UK and China version of Diesel.The ones I have, much the same coloured faces.The early one is not anywhere white as photos show.
