  1. Even resetting the filters a couple of times the maroon 57' coaches still say pre order when you open the item up individually, all the blood and custards and two parcels still say pre order on the standard page.
  2. Hi Dodge, Yes I have a set of red/maroon tender wheels. If you want them what I would like is a replacement set as I use these on projects. You could just swap the ones you have although I would prefer solid wheels, or, get a black set from Peters spares to swap? Obviously these would just be the wheels not the rest of the tender chassis.
  3. I think so and will check when I get home later.
  4. As you say quite a few have had issues with these, but, as these are never split (on my layout) I have bought some magnetic ones. I had to forcefully "ram" together to get them to couple and even then the odd one uncoupled after a while. I just hope it is only Mk3's and the Staniers work just well as the Mk1's, and obviously the Mk2's for those who get them.
  5. Don't forget that BR steam locos did not always pull up gradients easily some slowed and struggled and in a few places a banker was used on the rear and in other locations added at the front to double head. There were a few places on BR with climbs like 1:100 which is 1% which is a lot less than the 2% you are talking here and that was hard for BR locos. A 2% incline is like the 1:49 on the NYMR near Beckhole and that is hard going with 6 coaches on.
  6. I also have had stock alerts sent quite a few days after the shop says in stock.
  7. I was told exactly the same by them at Sheffield a couple of weeks earlier.
  8. Certainly unusual and although I am an A4 man I very much doubt I will be doing those versions. Without giving you ideas a friend did do a Dublo A4 in pink called Lady Penelope.
  9. Monk Bar Model Shop in York has now started stocking Hornby TT 120 and has a good selection so I am spoilt for choice with two shops less than 20 miles away.
  10. That moved earlier this week to tie in with the BR versions. I did like to think it might have come earlier but will wait.
  11. Most, if not all, Southern EMU's had the same unit number on cab front at each end still had individual coach numbers. They even had sets of Bulleid and Maunsell coaches set in 3, 4, 5 and 6 coach rakes given a set number on either end. I am fairly certain the Sprinter units we built at York also had unit numbers allocated on the front.
  12. Mine set central and low enough to go through the tunnel hit the platforms, moving it to to side to clear the platform on the right it hit the tunnel on the left, central but high enough to clear.the platform it hit the tunnel top. Other layouts might have something set up differently. .
  13. I have had a couple of different ones with mixed results, one was a 00 wagon which I cut down but the pictures not as colourful as I wanted, the other a small flatish one advertised as ideal for model railways was rubbish and.refuswd a refund as the company thought it was okay. I do have a Polaroid cube but too big to either clear platforms or tunnel.
  14. I did with my portable Triang TT layout which used Type A track. I soldered droppers to every piece, including both curved and straight tracks on points and made a ring mains from lighting cable. There were no isolating sections in type A so I made my own by sawing the rail and putting two droppers on that rail feeding that wire to a switch. Even had a reverse loop and high level section using this method. This was all done as the fishplates on 60+ year old rail were not always too good for conductivity.
  15. Someone had this with the Swallow version and sent it back. No idea what the issue was though.
  16. Shapeways do a 3mm one which I did. You could contact the designer to rescale it, he did the Q1 and Spam Can for me.
  17. Yes, they have practically one of everything some things more than one. If my order was not from last years cheap price minus 15% I would have looked at cancelling my order before Saturday if I had known shops get them before us. I only discovered the shop about 6 weeks ago and 20 minutes away.
  18. After Saturdays message going from the warehouse I have heard nothing but went to the local model shop and they had them in.
  19. Video on FB showing it running past the swallow one
  20. My friend has had his delivered now.
  21. Only the LMS version has Spring, the BR versions say Summer. At Rails of Sheffield I was told by a Hornby rep May was the month, expected not guaranteed.
  22. Same here, but, a friend says dpd have messaged him and are delivering his today.
  23. Compromise was mentioned so why not compromise on train lengths?
  24. Since TT 120 was announced nearly everyone shouts "at last, true scale", well have scale gradients then. Keep tyres for the roads (and European models if they wish), I have read the European 66 will have tyres, thankfully I will have a British one without.
